While our conservatory sail blinds can be useful for shade indoors, they may not be ideal if you’re the type of person who likes a bit of shade outside in their garden too. That’s why we provide our new waterproof sail shades, ideal for setting up outside so you can get a semi-permanent shading for your patio.
Made of acrylic cloth that is both waterproof and lightweight, our sail shades are the latest phenomenon in shading. Produced in the West Country by sail makers used to making ‘Bluewater’ sails - strength is not a concern for this sail - with our sail shades able to handle the strongest wind, or winds with little stretch over warp and weft.
Most shapes and sizes of sail shade can be produced. On our larger sail shades, stainless steel cables are incorporated within the hems to provide them with extra strength and tension. Our sail shades are also fitted with drainage eyelets at their lowest points to deal with excess rain water, leaving them able to produce low angles and safe from the effects of flooding.
All our sails are constructed with a sewn-in reinforcement to the edges and each corner has a 25mm stainless steel ring attached to reinforced panels. These rings enable the sales to be connected to buildings, posts, metal or wood. Of course, the strength of the sail is of limited use if the fixing can’t hold up to the rain. That’s why all our sail shades’ fixings are made of marine grade stainless steel, meaning that they’re more than capable of resisting rust over time.
We’re certain that our sail shades will provide the perfect solution for you out on your patio.
